CHRIS REED

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8
BEFORE THE CALL
I was raised in a Christian home in Las Vegas, NV. At the age 17, I trusted Jesus as my Savior. I was faithfully serving in my church as an usher and teaching a teen Bible study. At age 21 I was hired as a firefighter with the City of Las Vegas. I spent eight years as a firefighter before answering God’s call to full-time Christian service. My years as a firefighter were very rewarding and I had the privilege of working with some great people. However, now the Lord has called my family to do the same thing on a spiritual level in Thailand. With the Holy Spirit and the power of the gospel, we want to rescue people from Hell, pull them from the power of sin, and help those that need the healing power of Jesus.

AFTER THE CALL
After surrendering to the call to preach, I enrolled at West Coast Baptist College. While still a student I began to serve on staff at Lancaster Baptist Church. During college, I met my wife while serving together on a bus route. After graduation we were married, and my wife and I served in different ministries at Lancaster Baptist Church. During our annual missions conference the Lord burdened my heart for missions. After prayer and counsel, I surrendered to God’s call on my life for the mission field. After spending a few days in Thailand, my heart broke for the millions of people that have never heard the gospel. We believe God wants us to go to Thailand and share His love and plan of salvation with the Thai people.

“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalm 37:4
BEFORE GRADUATION
I was born in Murfreesboro, TN. I grew up at the Franklin Road Baptist Church, and during a Sunday school class at the age of five, I realized that the sinner the Bible talked about was me and that I had a personal need for salvation. I accepted Christ as my Saviour that Sunday and was baptized later the same year.
As a teenager, I was blessed to be a part of an active youth group that allowed me to serve on a bus route and in various children’s ministries, to participate in local outreach, and to go on several missions trips. I went to Thailand on two separate occasions, once for three weeks and later for over two months to visit a veteran missionary. While I was in high school, my parents surrendered to be missionaries. They are currently serving on the mission field with my younger siblings.

AFTER GRADUATION
After graduation from high school in 2007, I decided to attend West Coast Baptist College. During my college years, I was able to serve in several different ministries at Lancaster Baptist Church and spent two years serving on an extension ministry team. In 2011, I graduated from college, joined the staff of West Coast Baptist College, and married my husband. We have been serving at Lancaster Baptist Church since that time. I am thrilled about the direction the Lord is leading our family now. Thailand has had a special grip on my heart since I visited as a teenager, and I am eager to begin ministering there.
